A good friend of mine, Andrew White, is an amazing designer and I am so excited to plug the board game that he has been tirelessly working on. The game is “Alynthia” and it just went on kickstarter yesterday, and I am super excited to back the project and to get others on board as well.

5 Reasons to Back Alynthia
As this is a kickstarter, I haven’t had an opportunity to play the game yet. That is the risky aspect of kickstarters, particularly as there are so many games looking for backing. So what makes this game different? Well, I will share my personal perspective, but you can make the decision for yourself.
1. You Only Have Money to Lose and Dragon Meeples to Gain
That’s right, dragon meeples. I mean these things look delicious, and I just want to play with these.
But seriously the components as they are planned look amazing, and I particularly am intrigued by the outpost upgrades:
2. Amazing Design
I know Andrew personally and he is a top notch designer. He pays attention to every detail and always does his best to think through colors, and shapes and essentially feeling. I know that he will do everything in his power to make this game cohesive, streamlined and overall a great experience for the player.

3. Co-op / Compete / Solo
It is rare to find a game that is supports all three of these modes and I am super excited to explore that!
4. Rule Book
I am a sucker for rule books and love good night-time reading. I’m serious. I read game rule books over breakfast, and with tea as I wind down for the day. The Alynthia team have done a phenomenal job with these instructions.

5. Passion
This game has been under development for a long time and I know that it has gone through many hours of play testing to ensure that a good looking game is also balanced and fun. I know that the design team has put in so much of their energy, passions and resources into this project and I am so excited to support them and this game.
